Unnatural Election

Showing through Sept 1, 2017

​Sol de Medianoche, Alaska’s Latino newspaper and Out North Contemporary Art House are proud to present and collaborate with Unnatural Election, Artists Speak, an art project curated by Mexican-American artist Andrea Arroyo and first shown at New York University.  Unnatural Election will be presented at Out North’s new gallery location at 333 W. 4th Avenue., the exhibit will open on August 4, and run through September 1, 2017.  Unnatural Election features works by more than 200 artists from around the world. The exhibit addresses questions of social justice, diversity, human rights, economic justice, climate change and international affairs, drawing a map of the US population’s political concerns through contemporary art.

Opening Reception: August 4, 2017, starting at 6:00 pm. Curator Presentation at 6:30 pm. A light fare will be served.
Gallery hours: Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 pm
Closing Reception: September 1, 2017, 6-8 pm
Location: Out North Gallery at 333 W. 4th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501 (down the hall from the Experience Theatre)

Out North advances contemporary art in Anchorage, supports under-represented voices, and promotes cultural dialogue. We are one of Anchorage's longest operating arts nonprofits. We currently produce pop-up art shows around town and operate KONR-LP 106.1FM "Out North Radio."
