Marian Call in concert:
Holiday Music for People Who Hate Holiday Music
7 p.m. Dec. 22 at Out North

Accomplished singer-songwriter Marian Call presents a wildly diverse and unique holiday concert with songs in several languages for Solstice, Hannukah, Christmas, and even Festivus, the likes of which you've seldom heard -- from sacred pre-Renaissance chant to African dance music to bawdy liquor-soaked English folk songs. It's perfect for those who love the holidays as well as for those who desperately need to hear something besides "Silver Bells."

The show is appropriate for all ages -- well-behaved kids who love music are more than welcome -- and advance ticket purchase is recommended. Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for seniors, those with a student or military ID, and Anchorage Music Co-Op members via CenterTix.
